Those of you who have been reading my blog for sometime know that I very rarely write about things outside the scope of digital media, ed tech, youth and mobile tech here on Barking Robot. But today I'm going to deviate from the usual topics covered in this blog and ask you for a favor.
A colleague and friend of mine, David Wenzel, just found out last week that he has a brain tumor and is undergoing a series of tests and an operation later this week at the Mayo Clinic.
I won't go into all the details here, although you can read more over on his blog, but needless to say David needs all the prayers, good thoughts and positive energy he can muster to get through this chapter of his life.
So here's my request: Whatever your faith or personal belief system may be, I kindly ask you all to please keep David, his wife Amy and their family in your thoughts and prayers this week.
I strongly believe that David will be able to draw on this reservoir of good will--from friends, family and strangers--to muster the energy and strength he'll need to defeat this Goliath.
