IFPI: Ninety-five Percent of Downloaded Music is Illegal

According to a new report conducted by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), 95% of all music downloaded online is illegal.

Other findings by the IFPI:

• worldwide music market revenues shrank by 7%
• 40 billion music files were illegally shared
• 1.4 billion single tracks were legally downloaded
