The Harvard Crimson reports that students aren't happy with a university plan to hold final exams on January 20th--the day that Barack Obama will be sworn in as the 44th President of the United States.
Many of the students hoped to either attend the inauguration in person or watch it on television without the pressure of looming tests hanging over their head.
Students are organizing and pleading their case using Facebook. The group, Petition for Make-Ups of Harvard College Exams on Inauguration Day 2009 has almost 300 members. In addition, the students have created an online petition that has gathered over 600 signatures.
